DON-KARE
THE BRIEF
Design a disruptive campaign for social change that tackles a wicked problem in South Africa in collaboration with a local brand. The campaign should include at least three deliverables across three different channels, with one being physical or print-based. The goal is to create innovative, ethical, and sustainable design work that inspires positive social impact.
SOLUTION
The campaign uses bold, disruptive executions from a flipped Mustang logo and specifications sheet to Instagram post and fundraising merchandise all positioning donkeys as the real workhorses. Social media amplifies the message with short, powerful captions to drive awareness and support.
THE BREIF
For this project, I designed a packaging solution for the Student Gold Pack competition, choosing Aromat a South African household staple that currently has no single-serve option. The brief required creating a single-serve pack, a multi-pack, and a transit carton that balance creativity, functionality, and strong shelf appeal. The goal was to show how single-serve packaging can offer convenience, reduce waste, and introduce new ways for consumers to experience a familiar product.
SOLUTION
Aromat single serve sachet offers the same great taste in a convenience and portable format because delicious food should not be limited in the kitchen.
THE BRIEF
For this project, I was tasked with creating a professional commercial product photograph. I chose Red Bull’s energy drink and captured it in a studio setting, using lighting and props to strengthen the concept. The brief required a polished, advertising-ready image of the product with clear branding visible. To challenge myself, I incorporated light painting into the photograph which was my first time experimenting with this technique to create a unique visual approach.
SOLUTION
The solution is a high-quality commercial photograph of Red Bull that uses controlled lighting and light painting to highlight the brand’s energy and impact.
